Hi there,

About me:

My name is Jordan and I am a programmer (code and BP) / translator from the Netherlands. Used to work as a software engineer for an insurance company. I have spent the last 2 years exploring and mastering Unreal Engine, as well as working with 3D modelling software (Blender), video editing and game dev methodologies. 

I am looking for:

I'm trying to assemble a team of maybe 4 to 5 people to start an indie company with. I have a lot of game ideas but lack the time or resources.  I'm currently working on a project, but it's taking too much time to do everything by myself (programming, modeling, animation, testing etc.) 

If you are passionate about your craft and would like to join forces to make some GROUNDBREAKING games then feel free to hit me up. The idea is to use something resembling the SCRUM-methodology, working in multiple phases and a Backlog/In progress/Done  set-up.

Plan:

  1. Form a dev team
  2. Start a demo project to showcase each other's skills and to improve teamwork.
  3. Come up with a new title together, assign roles, make a schedule.
  4. Start project - Phase 1
  5. Review Phase 1
  6. Start Phase 2

Roles needed:

  • 3D Modeler
  • Level designer + Lighting/Atmosphere (that kind of stuff)
  • Animator
  • Art designer (someone that can draw designs for UI-items, buildings, objects. So that the 3D modeler can just focus on making the objects).
  • Network / Multiplayer Specialist (someone that knows how to connect players with each other, how to set up a server, network stability)
  • Writer (Writing story elements)

If you'd like to fulfill 1 or more of these roles, please hit me up. 

The only requirement I have is that you are available for (Voice) chat at least 1x per week (exceptions can be made for holidays, of course) and that you're able to speak and understand English. I'm Dutch myself, so don't worry about accents and stuff, that's normal.

As for myself. I shall be taking on the role as lead programmer, designing Game Mechanics, AI Behavior,  Object Interaction,  Platform Integration and Translations (EN, NL, GE, ES, JP). 

For the next few days I'll be working on a complete document to organize everything.

Negotiable per project. Will be based on the percentage of work each team member has put in. This will be determined at the start of each project by the team.  (e.g.  For project A, Person B will be doing 15% of the work and shall receive 15% of the netto profit).

My dream project: making a VR (Multiplayer) RPG with player tournaments. Not an mmorpg in the traditional sense, just an RPG with network capabilities.

Asset does not work! importing it into unreal makes it a jumbled mess and blender won't even open it. Model looks good in the picture, please fix it.
